Kia ora, I'm Lynden and
I have lived in various cities around the world but I call New Zealand home. Currently I am based in Ōtautahi, Christchurch.
I would describe my work as experimental and eclectic. Recently, the majority of my work has been anchored in camera-less photography. However, I do often work in digital design.
I enjoy the tactility of the cyanotype exposure process, it is an interesting departure from working exclusively on a computer screen.
I draw a lot of inspiration for my work from the experiences I have had travelling and the history of the town I live in, Christchurch.
My career is in secondary visual arts education where I specialise in teaching graphic design and photography. I am also a member of ANZAAE (Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Arts Educators). I am passionate about pedagogy in the field of visual arts. A lot of the knowledge I gather from my own art making goes towards offering a wide range of creative learning experiences for my students.
